I open avast! and try to turn it on manually from there. When I try to turn on Antivirus (avast!) from clicking on the ACTION CENTER message and try to turn it on it asks me if I trust the program and when I click the option to turn it on it on and say yes to the windows it does nothing, the same result as if It loads then goes to "Running" then after a split second it goes back to saying "Stopped" on its own.

I have researched many times how to fix this and I always end up with the same answer which is go to Services->Windows Firewall->Properties And make sure it is on automatic (which it was) and click start and this should fix it, however when I click "Start" There, of If I click to turn it on manually I'm brought to these windows:įirst window after clicking on the ACTION CENTER message:Įrror after clicking "Turn on Windows Firewall" and choosing "Yes" on the User Account Control Window.Īfter clicking "Turn on Windows Firewall manually"Īfter clicking "Use recommended settings": If I click on this message or go Internet Access Tray Icon->Network Settings->Ethernet->Windows Firewall, when I click the message and try to turn it on it doesn't allow me to and gives me the option to turn on Windows Firewall manually.
(I also receive a message in the Action Center that says Windows Firewall and avast! are both turned off.) Here are the errors and messages that occur: It is a coincidence, but I need to have this fixed.

Free Antivirus 2015), however I have been able to do this in the past with no issues.
